Mammootty's 'Parunthu' opened to big audiences as expected. The movie was released in 80 stations across Kerala to grab the maximum from the initials.
The first day first show, opened as early as 12 am in some of the theatres in the Malappuram district with the typical Mammootty opening, while more than half a dozen theatres started their first shows as early as 6 am.
The movie is said to be a good family entertainer according the opening day viewers.
